The project generally consists of the renovation and modernization of the historic Koester Block, including improvements to enhance functionality, safety, and appearance. The scope of work includes utility upgrades to modernize electrical systems, ensuring reliable service and code compliance. This includes the installation of new services and panels, relocation of existing overhead services underground, and provision and installation of new electrical service wire. All work is coordinated to maintain building operations where possible and to meet applicable regulatory and funding requirements.
The major items of WORK include: Replacement of leaking CIP waterlines with new C900 PVC water mains; upgrade water meters, meter reading, and water billing to AMR based system. Base Bid includes approximately 1,971 l.f. of 4-inch, 20,138 l.f. of 6-inch and 3,077 l.f. of 8-inch C900 PVC waterlines to be constructed with HDD methods in combination with open trenching; 1- directional drilled cased creek bore; 2-dry bore & jack railroad crossings; 81 gate valves; 35 fire hydrants, 4 flush hydrants; 275 service connections; and 8,940 lf of 1” and 2” HDPE service lines; 301 new AMR water meters, 187 meter register replacements; new AMR meter read system; all appurtenant items and work to complete the project.
