The Munchkinland Playground project involves the redevelopment of an existing community playground into a safe, inclusive, and engaging play space for children of all ages and abilities. The scope of work includes the demolition of an outdated wood playground structure, preparation of the site, and installation of new play equipment, safety surfacing, fencing, sidewalks, and drainage improvements. Designed with accessibility and long-term durability in mind, the new layout emphasizes ADA compliance, low-maintenance materials, and age-appropriate play zones. The project will incorporate sustainable design elements and meet current safety standards, providing a vital recreational asset for the community.
The current Bremen Farmers Mutual Insurance Company (BFMIC) office is comprised of four buildings that have been constructed with a variety of construction techniques and materials. Each building served to match the rapid growth of the company but failed to maintain ADA connections and logistical space planning. In addition to consolidating spaces to better match the current and future needs of the company, there will be approximately 6,000 sq. ft. of finish upgrades to existing office spaces through typical tenant improvements and 3,000 sq. ft. of structural modifications and floor plan reconfigurations.
The project will generally consist of road reconstruction and storm sewer rehabilitation and re-placement. The following approximate major quantities of work include 5,100 SY of 7 Inch Concrete Pavement with AB-3 base, 2,700 LF of Curb & Gutter, 760 SY of Sidewalk and Ramps, 13 storm sewer inlets and manholes, 500 LF of Storm Sewer, 4 Sanitary Manhole Re-placements, and all other incidental and appurtenant work as shown and specified.
